Welsh Association of Motor Clubs

Not to labour the point too much about the current situation but the MoD like all motorsport venue landowners have other priorities to occupy their time although we are assured there is a willingness to return to normal as soon as possible.

We have met with senior staff who manage both Epynt and Caerwent and were warmly received given the current restrictions and came back feeling very positive about the future.

Organising clubs have already received information from this meeting.

In more specific terms Dixies Challenge has been postponed and The Tour of Epynt is now going ahead on Sunday July 11th following the Nicky Grist Stages on the 10th, both of course subject to any Covid restrictions present at the time.

The Nicky Grist Stages has been forced to re-route the event with the landowners withdrawing permission to use Route 60 due to recent re-grading works.

This decision may stay in force for the foreseeable future so it's worth checking should organising clubs look to run Route 60.

The Ross Traders event due to take place in February at Caerwent was cancelled some while ago and hopes to return in 2022.

All other events are still looking to run but only if Covid restrictions are reduced in time.
